A new revelation by the company now tells us that the device sold out in just under 1 minute since it was made available for purchase, speaking volumes about the demand for the company’s new Windows 10 tablet.
It must be noted that the 16GB Android model also sold out on the very same day, so the demand was not just limited to the 64GB variant of the Mi Pad 2.
The tablet is yet to make its way to other Asian markets, although an Indian launch should commence soon. The Mi Pad 2 features the same display as the predecessor but carries some significant upgrades underneath which make it a worthwhile upgrade for the customers.
The key attraction with the Mi Pad 2 however is the presence of a standalone Windows 10 variant. Xiaomi’s partnership with Microsoft was established some time ago when the two companies struck a deal to offer an official Windows 10 ROM for users of the Mi 4 flagship. So the launch of a standalone Windows 10 product by Xiaomi was barely a surprise.
